You may have noticed new banners on our social media pages and new posts about something called #iGiveCatholic. What is this all about?
#iGiveCatholic is the first Catholic day of giving in the country. The Archdiocese and Catholic Foundation's goals are to raise half a million dollars for parishes, schools, and other Catholic non-profits in the Archdiocese. We at Visitation of Our Lady are so excited to be a part of this new annual tradition!
#iGiveCatholic will take place on Giving Tuesday, which is December 1st.
This month, we will celebrate Thanksgiving, and Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to express our gratitude through generosity. What a beautiful way to thank God for his continued blessing than to give back to our community!
So what exactly happens on December 1st?
Starting at midnight of Giving Tuesday, you can head to the
and make a minimum donation of $25 to Visitation of Our Lady, as well as a number of other parishes, schools, and non-profits in the area. All transactions are secure and tax-deductible.
In addition, there are a number of prizes available to organizations who have the most first time donors contribute funds, so help us spread the word to friends, family, and community members!
