So Jesus said to them, “Amen, Amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven…I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” (John 6:32, 51)
Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration enables the faithful to encounter Jesus Christ as physically present in the Blessed Sacrament. Our parish offers adoration every fourth Thursday from 7:30 am to Midnight. We also have adoration every First Friday after the 8:30 a.m. Mass for one hour.
If you would like to volunteer an hour of your time, please contact Mrs. Amber Choina
at 504-347-2203.
** Due to COVID we have suspended our regular Adoration at this time. **
Sacramental Preparation
The celebration of the First Communion is an exciting parish event. The community here at Visitation of Our Lady welcomes your child as he/she joins us in receiving our Lord Jesus Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist.
Religious instruction is required during 1st and 2nd grades in order for children to receive these sacraments in 2nd grade. If your child is not attending a Catholic school, please register your child for the CCD Program. Thank you for your commitment to this program and to your child’s religious education.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Emily McGowan at 504-341-8477.
